Is this a Martian?

Reuters news service has been showing a NASA video taken by the Mars rover Spirit in November, of what looks like a small humanoid figure, or statue of a figure, ambling down a shallow slope on the surface of the planet.

NASA spokesman Dwayne Brown tried to explain it to Fox News, saying that it’s simply “…a two-inch piece of rock eroded by the wind”, and that the camera took three days to snap the panoramic image, and the figure doesn’t move at all during this time.

Using logic and a keen scientific mind to read between the lines of what NASA is REALLY trying to tell us, I think it’s safe to conclude that:

A: It’s a statue of a tiny little Martian - quite possibly an important historical figure, as so few of these statues have ever been found - OR

B: It’s an actual living Martian, and like the nocturnal slow Loris found in East India, Martian life is very small, and moves very very very slowly.

C. It’s also possible (although admittedly a remote possibility) that we are seeing the victim of an attack of some sort of a Martian medusa creature, in which case some sort of protective gear should be provided to future astronauts.

I love armchair science!
