Painting on Buildings with Lasers

Now here’s how it works. They have a camera, a laser pointer, a projecter, and a laptop all wired together with some custom software. The camera tracks where the laser pointer goes, sends the info through the computer, and projects a corresponding image up on the building.

This page tells you exactly how to do it. The building has to be really dark (no lighted windows) or it confuses the software, and nobody should be in the building, because the laser is so strong, it’s illegal in a lot of places, and would hurt somebody’s eyes who was looking outside.

I have no idea why the letters look like they are dripping. It’s probably a special effect programmed into the software.
