The Sarah Connor Chronicles

A new Terminator TV series is being filmed that will premiere January 2008, called ‘The Sarah Connor Chronicles’. It’s being listed as a Sunday night program on Fox’s website.

The series, set after the events of Terminator 2, has Sarah and her 15 year old son John running, hiding, and trying to live, while attempting to locate and destroy Skynet and save the world.

An advanced script review reveals that time travel will play a major role in the series, including a temporal leap for the main characters from 1998 to the current year.

Lena Heady (Queen Gorgo from “300″) plays the title role of Sarah Connor, while John Connor is being played by Thomas Dekker (Vincent from “7th Heaven”, Zach from “Heros”). “Firefly”/”Serenity” actress Summer Glau will have a recurring role as John’s protector, and Owain Yeoman (”The Nine”) will be a male terminator called Cromartie, at least in the pilot episode. Actress Danielle Lozeau who starred in “Pretty Dead Things” has also signed on as a regular cast member.It’s being produced and directed by David Nutter, who directed many episodes of The X-Files, as well as Millennium and the Dark Angel pilot.
